RTI

Procedure for filing an RTI application at VUDA:

Address your letter to the PIO, VUDA and make a copy of it.

You can obtain a Rs. 10 bank challan (form consists of 4 duplicate slips) from the Teller’s counter at the bank branch located on the ground floor of the VUDA building in favour of the PIO, VUDA.

Go to the Information Counter on the 8th floor of the VUDA building and submit both copies of your RTI application and the challan. They will stamp your duplicate copy and return it to you for proof.

Procedure for filing an RTI application at GVMC:

Address your letter to the PIO, GVMC.

You can obtain a Rs. 10 bank challan from the Saukaryam center at the bank branch located in the basement of the GVMC building in favour of the PIO, GVMC. Or a Postal Order in the name of the PIO.

Go to the dispatch clerk opposite the call center of the GVMC building and submit your RTI application and the challan/postal order. They are not giving any receipt.

NOTE: An easier method would be to mail your RTI application along with the Postal Order by registered post with acknowledgement due to the PIO of the appropriate authority. That way, your acknowledgement will serve as proof of receipt of your RTI application. It is easier than the hassle of dealing with unhelpful and/or uninformed staff.
