Some projects in the pipeline as of 12 April 2015
Some more progress has been made in the plans to make Vizag a Smart City.
Foundation Stone laid for IIM in Gambheeram, Visakhapatnam on Saturday, 16 January 2015.
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University is being built at Sabbavaram. (Funding seems to be a problem for timely completion though).
Tribal University will also most likely be at Sabbavaram.
Sunrise Startup Village was launched on 29 September 2014. All physical seats are full and only virtual seats are available for budding entrepreneurs.
An Aerotropolis is planned in Bhogapuram.
Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is in progress.
Greenfield International Airport planned for Visakhapatnam in Bhogapuram. A special purpose vehicle (SPV) has been cleared.
Metro Rail System is in the pipeline with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) due for submission by 30 June 2015.
