Are you in the mood for eating out and want to try something different? Perhaps something international? If you want to sit down at a nice restaurant and enjoy a good meal, we would suggest the following.
Flying Spaghetti Monster, located diagonally opposite the Waltair Club Main Road, serves authentic Italian food that is quite tasty. If thin crust pizza is to your liking or a good pasta, this restaurant will satisfy your craving. They serve Mexican dishes too but those are not as satisfying as their Italian menu.
Maong’s, now in YMCA’s Waves Food Courtin Lawson’s Bay Colony is a small, hole in the corner place that, serves some very interesting Chinese dishes. Ming Garden, in Gateway Hotel on the beach road, is the more expensive alternative for authentic Chinese food.
Barbeque Nation started off with a bang and is worth a visit if you are a foodie who loves barbecue. Their service is great and is probably the best in the city. Options for vegetarians here are limited though and of late we have been put off by their theme nights that have disappointed. Absolute Barbeque has opened in Dwarakanagar and offers some exotic non-veg food like duck and emu but we found the service to be a little too overwhelming if you know what we mean.
For dining out at restaurants with a gorgeous view, we would recommend Vihaar in Rishikonda for lunch and Horizon in Dolphin Hotel for dinner. Horizon has a live band at dinner times so if you enjoy listening to live music, this is a good choice. The Park, Novotel and Ambika Sea Green, all on the beach road, have a nice view during the day. Pricey for the quality of the food they serve but the elevated seating space in Palm Beach Hotel’s outdoor restaurant is quite a pleasant experience on a less humid day. Beware of the live music though because the volume leaves little room for a decent conversation.
For those you are interested to try out the different cuisines at budget friendly prices with good looking ambience should definitely visit the restaurant “THE ANCHOR”. Fine Dining restaurant offering best of South Indian, Pan Indian, Continental and Pan Asian dishes. They are near Sagar Nagar Beach on the main road. They have tried more than 600 dishes before finalizing on our menu. all their chefs are highly qualified and well experienced.
